Mold had been growing in the crawl space for some time before the homeowner caught on. She was tipped off by nasty smells and sinking floors; this meant that the humidity had gotten high enough in the crawl space that the wood had started to rot away!
Luckily a local waterproofing and crawl space company, Redeemers Group, was able to come and take a look at her crawl space. The System Design Specialist braved the dark and dank foundation to find that, yes, the humidity was much higher than it should be, and the water content in the wood was much much too high. The wood had begun to rotm and she required some of it to be replaced and the crawl space needed to be encapsulated to make sure the newly replaced wood would not meet the same fate as it's predecessor.
Redeemers group replaced the wood where needed, fogged the mold to kill any existing mold in the crawl space, and installed clean space to fully encapsulate the crawl space and make sure the humidity stayed under contrrol for decades to come!
