Crawl Space Water Intrusion on a Hillside Lot (Roland, AR)

Interior Perimeter Drain (French Drain) with Dual SuperSump® Systems

We installed an interior perimeter drain along the front wall and extended it 5 feet around both corners to capture lateral flow before it reached the floor. Laser level measurements confirmed the subgrade fell several inches from the wall’s midpoint toward each corner, so we placed a SuperSump® at both ends to collect and pump water efficiently. Following best practices, the system was set in clean stone with filter fabric, and the pumps were outfitted with airtight lids and check valves; discharge lines exited through the side walls and ran downhill beyond the landscaped lawn into native grass for safe dispersion. This configuration actively removed incoming water, reduced hydrostatic pressure, and protected framing, insulation, and indoor air quality—even during heavy storms. (Battery backup and freeze protection are available options based on homeowner preference.)

Smart Discharge Routing & Line Extensions for Long-Term Foundation Protection

Beyond the primary waterproofing, we redirected nuisance water that had been soaking soil near the home. The HVAC/dehumidifier condensate (≈1½″) and the raised-patio ice machine drain (≈2–2½″) were extended out the back, past the lawn, into native grasses so moisture dispersed away from the foundation. By managing both seepage and secondary discharge sources, the home’s crawl space stayed dry, the yard remained stable, and the risk of wood rot, mold growth, and settlement decreased—delivering durable protection for this hillside property in the Little Rock metro and Pulaski County.
