Photo Album: Foundation Repair in Clarksdale, MS: Carport Slab Leveling & Driveway Stabilization
Carport Slab Settlement and Foundation Damage Discovered
In Clarksdale, MS, Glenda D. had been dealing with a sinking carport slab that had dropped nearly three inches on one side. Her driveway showed the same issue but had already cracked and broken into large sections. Around the home, telltale signs of settlement appeared in the brick exterior, exposed footing, and ceiling cracks inside. Like many Delta slab foundations, years of rainwater pooling in the yard had caused the soil beneath the structure to soften and shift. Before Glenda could install new carport columns, she needed a lasting foundation repair solution to stabilize her home and protect future improvements.
Foundation Pier Installation and Concrete Protection System
To permanently stabilize the home, our team installed 23 foundation piers: 15 on the south side where damage was most severe and 8 supporting the kitchen addition, which was also settling. Two piers were placed through concrete at the carport, and adjustments were made to work around older underpinning. All piers were pressurized to 2,000 psi, ensuring maximum stability. For the concrete surfaces, a 2-Part Concrete Protection System was applied to lift and seal the carport slab and driveway. Cracks and gaps were filled with Nexus sealant to block water infiltration and extend the life of the repairs.
Lasting Stability and Peace of Mind for the Homeowner
The project restored both safety and stability to Glenda’s home. Landscaping and the air conditioning system were carefully managed, with piers near the AC unit installed first so her home stayed comfortable in the summer heat. By addressing the sinking carport slab, cracked driveway, and shifting foundation walls, Redeemers Group provided a comprehensive solution that will prevent further settlement for years to come. Glenda can now move forward confidently with her home upgrades, knowing her foundation is secure and her investment protected.

Interior Cracking
When you see cracks like this, it's time to call Redeemers Group.
Brick Cracking
Cracking in the mortar between the bricks may not always mean foundation settlement. But cracking through the bricks is a strong indicator that there is trouble.
Exterior Cracks
The home is sinking in the upward direction of the cracking. In this case, it is sinking towards the right.
Breaking Through Concrete
Sometimes we need to go through an existing patio or concrete porch in order to properly place our piers.
Protecting the Yard
We try hard to protect the grass and any landscaping around the home.
Push Piers Installed
Our push piers are a permanent solution for foundation settlement.
Pressurizing Piers
Adding downward pressure to the piers causes the home to lift.
Concrete Restored
After the pier is installed, the concrete is restored.
