Photo Album: Sinking Entryway Structurally Restored in Memphis
Rita H. of Memphis discovered her entryway beginning to sink due to severe crawlspace deterioration. Inspection revealed that, after a past fire rebuild, the rim joist beneath the back door had completely rotted, and the surrounding joists and subfloor were failing—totaling 84 sq. ft. of compromised flooring and 6 ft. of damaged rim band. Our team replaced the failing structural components to restore safety and stability, carefully preserving as much of the existing tile as possible. We also identified that the door threshold had been installed backward, causing an unnecessary gap, and showed the homeowner how correcting it would eliminate the issue. These repairs were essential to halting further structural decline and ensuring the home remained level, secure, and long-lasting.
