My carport has always had lots of standing water. We bought the house in 1976. The last couple of years it seems to have gotten worse. Sometimes in a heavy rain it is ankle deep at the low end of the carport/driveway. What makes it worse is that I have a disabled adult daughter in a wheelchair. Where bricks join original house to addition there is at least a 3" gap at the top of the brick which kind of V's down to closed brick about 3/4 of way down wall. Some small interior settling cracks in dry wall on inside. There is also on the opposite side a opening in the top boards where the old carport joins the addition.
