Edward  W. of Batesville, AR needed our help.  His was experiencing a sinking concrete sidewalk in front of his home.  It was a critical situation because the uneven walkway was making it difficult to navigate a wheelchair. We were able to use our PolyLevel™ Concrete Injection system to lift and level the concrete slabs and eliminate the obstacles.  We also sealed the joints with NexusPro™ Joint Sealant to divert water and keep it from penetrating beneath the concrete, causing more damage.  Edward now has the peace of mind he deserves knowing that wheelchair access to his home is unimpeded by uneven concrete.

Linda T. of Star City, AR contacted us with serious concerns about the structural integrity of her shop. Over time, she had noticed increasingly severe signs of foundation failure—including sinking along one side of the structure and visible separations in the concrete block walls. Inspection revealed that the foundation had settled unevenly, resulting in long horizontal and stair-step cracks, as well as gaps where blocks had begun to pull apart. Left unaddressed, the damage would have continued to worsen, potentially leading to safety hazards and further structural degradation.

To restore stability and prevent future damage, our team recommended the installation of 11 foundation piers strategically placed along the failing sections. These deep-driven piers were installed beneath the load-bearing walls to transfer the weight of the structure to competent soil layers far below the surface. After completing the pier system installation, we carefully lifted and leveled the affected portion of the garage. Once the structure was stabilized, we sealed the cracks in the concrete block walls to protect against moisture intrusion and restore the shop’s appearance and functionality.

This project showcased the critical importance of using proven, engineered solutions to correct foundation issues. The piering method not only halted ongoing settlement but also returned the structure to its original elevation—preserving the building’s lifespan and usability.
