Melody C. of Hernando, MS recently moved into a newly renovated home that once belonged to her late husband. As one of several properties he had owned, this house now holds deep sentimental value and serves as her primary residence. Living alone, Melody is warm, talkative, and highly detail-oriented—someone who values having projects done correctly the first time. With renovations already completed, she turned her attention to a more pressing concern: preventing future water damage by protecting the basement.
After reviewing the condition of the lower level, Melody approved the installation of a comprehensive basement waterproofing system to defend the home against moisture intrusion. The system was designed to address existing vulnerabilities and ensure long-term protection. Melody appreciated the detailed explanations behind every step of the process and was fully on board with the plan once it aligned with her high standards. She also relied on the advice of a trusted HVAC friend—who often assists with home projects and is expected to handle future electrical upgrades. In fact, she’s chosen to leave the home to him in her will, a testament to the home's lasting value.
This basement waterproofing installation marked a critical first step in preserving the structural integrity of the home. By proactively resolving moisture concerns, Melody not only protected her investment but also honored the memory of her late husband while preparing the home for the next generation. The project balanced practicality with long-term foresight—ensuring the home remains dry, safe, and secure.

Check out this crawl space encapsulation system we recently installed for Sheena P. of Millington, TN. We proposed a solution that incorporated our SmartJacksTM System for stability, and our CleanSpaceTM encapsulation system for protection. Our encapsulation system included our CleanSpaceTM liner to act as a vapor barrier, a SmartSumpTM to rid the crawl space of any water that enters, and a SaniDry SedonaTM dehumidifier to remove moisture from the air and provide higher overall air quality. These results speak for themselves.
