Uneven Concrete and Cracking Created Safety and Stability Concerns Around the Home
Loran L. of Collierville, Tennessee contacted our team after noticing cracking and uneven concrete around his driveway and back patio areas. A section of the driveway near the garage had begun sinking slightly, while multiple slabs across the rear patio had shifted unevenly along the joints and cracks. Although the movement was not severe enough to require full concrete replacement, the settlement had created concerns about long-term stability, appearance, and everyday usability around the home. Several walkway joints leading to the front door had also developed separation that allowed water intrusion and further deterioration to occur over time.
PolyLevel Injection and NexusPro Sealing Stabilized the Concrete Surfaces
To correct the settlement issues, crews used PolyLevel concrete lifting technology to stabilize and raise the affected sections of concrete. The front driveway slab near the garage was carefully lifted, leveled, and stabilized to help restore proper support beneath the surface. In the backyard, four separate patio slabs were adjusted and leveled as much as possible to reduce uneven transitions along the joints and cracked areas. While one small section could not be restored perfectly due to the condition of the slabs, the entire patio area was successfully stabilized to help prevent additional movement. NexusPro joint and crack sealant was then applied throughout the driveway, walkway, and patio areas to seal joints, reduce water penetration, and help protect the concrete from future erosion and settlement damage.
Concrete Repair Extended the Life of the Existing Driveway and Patio
One of the most important goals of the project was preserving the homeowner’s existing concrete surfaces without disturbing areas he wanted left untouched, including a decorative painted circular patio section in the backyard. By combining concrete lifting with professional joint sealing, the repair helped improve safety, stabilize the affected slabs, and extend the lifespan of the existing driveway and patio. Addressing settlement and cracking early also helped reduce the likelihood of larger structural concrete failures and more expensive replacement costs later. The completed repairs provided a cleaner, more stable surface while maintaining the overall character of the outdoor living areas.
