Concrete Repair Photo Album: Walkway Lift & Seal in Oxford, MS: A Durable Fix Without the Disruption
Marty V. of Oxford, MS had long been concerned about her front walkway, especially given her home’s position on a steep slope. Over time, water had washed down the slope, disturbing the soil beneath the concrete and causing parts of the walkway to settle and crack. While the steps leading from the driveway to the front door remained solid, the main stretch of concrete along the house had begun to show visible signs of wear. Marty worried that if left unchecked, she’d eventually have to replace the entire walkway—a costly and disruptive process she hoped to avoid.
Our solution involved lifting and stabilizing the settled sections using PolyLevel®, specifically targeting two problem spots: one at the curve at the base of the steps and another on the half-circle area beneath the front porch. To protect the entire surface and prevent further erosion, we recommended our 2-Part Concrete Protection System (CPS), which included sealing all joints and cracks with NexusPro®. This included the one joint at the top of the steps, all joints along the walkway, and a 10-foot joint in the curved section below the steps. The price point was well within Marty’s expectations, and she was thrilled to move forward.
With her walkway now stabilized and protected, Marty not only avoided a full replacement but also gained peace of mind. She’s excited about the results and mentioned she’ll be recommending our services to neighbors through her community’s Facebook page. With many homes in the neighborhood facing similar issues, Marty’s referral could help others find long-term solutions just like she did.
