Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawlspace Encapsulation & Access Upgrade in Munford, TN
This project addressed a crawlspace that had never been inspected and was producing a noticeable odor. During inspection, we found rotten wood north of the second main beam, numerous homemade piers, and a tight, obstructed layout that complicated movement and installation. The homeowner declined structural wood replacement, so the focus was a full encapsulation. The team modified the existing access—cutting and widening the door and installing an EverLast door—and created an alternative crawl-through entry to avoid disturbing a metal frame supporting porch blocks. Due to the crawlspace’s unusual grading, the sump pump location had to be shifted to the lowest point at the front while discharging toward the back. Drainage matting was cut down to maneuver between dense piers, and CleanSpace was installed throughout. The project concluded with mold fogging, ensuring a cleaner, healthier, and more protected environment.
