Foundation Repair for Peace of Mind in Oxford, MS
Betty T. of Oxford, MS was frustrated with her concrete slab foundation issues.  Her home was only 2 years old when she began to experience foundation troubles.  Her home was built on uneven ground with tree roots and debris underneath the slab.  This meant failing soil, a settling foundation, a sunken room, and windows and doors that could not function.  The windows and doors were a major concern for Betty because of her daughter with special needs.  Betty needed reassurance that all doors and windows functioned properly in case of emergency. What’s worse?  She trusted another company to fix her foundation issues and this work, which was guaranteed, failed.  When she tried to get the company to honor the guarantee, she discovered that they are now out of business.  Luckily, she found Redeemers Group. Ryan, one of our Inspectors, went to visit Betty with two things in mind. First, he wanted to fully and permanently resolve her foundation issues and give Betty the peace of mind she deserved.  Next, he wanted to redefine Betty’s experience while dealing with a contractor and show her that honesty, integrity, and compassion still exist in our business.  After Ryan walked her through the solution and all processes involved, Betty agreed with the findings, and the work was set to begin. It was now up to Chet and his crew, who were tasked with handling this foundation project.  They installed our Push Pier system in order to stabilize the sinking room.  Not only was this the most effective solution, but it is also permanent.  Push Piers offer the much-needed stabilization without further disturbing the soil.  Along with the Push Piers, the crew used our PolyLevelTM system.  Injecting PolyLevelTM underneath the concrete works to fill voids and stabilize the foundation in places where piers cannot go.  PolyLevelTM was also used to level her concrete patio.   It is jobs like this that reinforce the Redeemers Group mission: to redefine.  Betty was let down by a few poor contractors who did subpar work and left her frightened about the well-being of her daughter.  We are proud to have been there for Betty and to make sure that her home is safe, and her foundation is secure.
Concrete Stabilization and Lift in Oxford, MS: Restoring Poolside Safety and Curb Appeal
Covin J. of Oxford, MS—alongside his wife—called us out to inspect ongoing concrete issues around their home, particularly around their backyard pool. Built in 1996 and owned by the family since 2000, the home has become a long-term residence, but persistent settlement in one corner of the pool deck has become a recurring problem. Despite previous attempts to repour the concrete and even installing a trench drain to redirect moisture, the soft, sloping soil in that area continued to cause settling. Covin’s goal was clear: stabilize and lift the concrete in that problem corner once and for all. Upon inspection, we confirmed that stability and lift were indeed required in the corner of the pool deck. Additionally, we examined a large tiled patio area located between the pool and an aging retaining wall. Unfortunately, the retaining wall lacked a footing and had settled as much as 12 inches in one corner—averaging about 6 inches of drop across the full slab. After consultation with our structural team, it was determined that the wall could not be effectively repaired and would require full replacement. Fortunately, the loose tile over the patio was not a concern for the homeowners, as they planned to replace it regardless, allowing us to proceed without the need for careful demo. We also included repairs to the driveway in our proposal. While two slabs near the street were beyond the limits of what could be corrected using PolyLevel and NexusPro, one area near the garage door required lifting, along with several cracks and joints needing sealing. This comprehensive project addresses both safety and structural integrity across multiple high-traffic zones. With the right solutions in place, Covin and his wife are now positioned to reclaim their outdoor living space with confidence. Frustrated with sinking concrete or uneven surfaces? Oxford Historic Home Crawlspace Encapsulation: SilverGlo® & LumberKote™ Solution
Moisture Damage Threatened a Historic Oxford Property Dr. Ernie W., a partner at a local medical clinic, lives with his family in a historic Oxford home that has been expanded over the years. The home’s ductwork, located in the crawlspace, was creating a damp, high-humidity environment. This excess moisture was damaging the wood floors and posed a serious risk of mold growth, wood rot, and structural deterioration. Without professional intervention, the integrity and comfort of this cherished property would have continued to decline. Full Crawlspace Encapsulation with Premium Materials Our team implemented a comprehensive crawlspace encapsulation covering 1,440 square feet of insulation. This included removing outdated chicken wire from the rear addition and installing SilverGlo® rigid insulation panels for superior thermal performance. To protect the crawlspace structure, we applied LumberKote™, a specialized moisture-resistant coating. For aesthetic preservation, the back side of the SilverGlo was painted black to blend with the home’s large decorative exterior vents. Multiple crawlspace chambers were successfully sealed, and a custom access door was added to reach one previously inaccessible section, ensuring complete coverage and protection. Preserving Historic Charm While Protecting Structural Health By combining moisture control, insulation, and tailored aesthetic considerations, we stopped the humidity damage and improved the home’s energy efficiency. The SilverGlo® and LumberKote™ crawlspace system now provides a durable barrier against moisture while maintaining the historic appeal of the property. This project not only preserved the charm and value of a historic Oxford home but also secured its structural health for decades to come. If your home is experiencing crawlspace moisture problems, contact our experts today for a professional inspection and customized repair plan.
Crawlspace Repair
When we arrived on-site, our team conducted a full interior and exterior inspection of the home. The original scope called for 40 feet of sistering along a failing beam—but after a closer look, it was clear that wasn’t the best long-term solution. We paused, reassessed, and collaborated internally to determine the right path forward. After reviewing options, we presented the homeowner with a more effective solution: replacing the approach with a SmartJack® system for improved stability and performance. With the updated scope came a price increase, so the homeowner chose to pause the project to review everything in detail. While we prepared a revised proposal, our crew stayed on-site and ready. After discussing it together, the homeowners decided to move forward—adjusting the project by removing SilverGlo™ insulation to help offset the cost of the SmartJack system. Once approved, we got back to work immediately. Day 1: Completed LumberKote installation.Day 2: Installed a 40-foot supplemental beam, carefully bottle jacking each section to maximize results. We then installed the SmartJack system and achieved excellent stabilization—along with minor lift under the bedroom area. Throughout the process, we walked the homeowner through each phase to ensure they were comfortable and confident with the progress. We also:✔ Reinforced three deteriorated joists under the kitchen✔ Addressed a missed area near the garage with proper floor protection and completed LumberKote application✔ Conducted a final walkthrough and thorough cleanup The result? A stabilized home, a confident homeowner, and a job done right—even when it required a mid-project pivot. Great work by the team adapting, communicating, and delivering real results.
Crawlspace Moisture & Structural Repair in Oxford, MS
Crawlspace Moisture Problems Threatened the Home’s Structural Integrity This project centered on a home in Oxford, MS where the homeowner had recently begun noticing moisture throughout the crawlspace. Water was entering through the front wall due to heavy runoff collecting in the flower bed near the garage, creating hydrostatic pressure that pushed moisture into the structure. Inside the crawlspace, the soil and vapor barrier showed clear evidence of repeated water intrusion and washout that exposed portions of the footer. Beyond the moisture issues, the inspection revealed significant structural concerns: a main beam lacking adequate support, a floating beam with only a single pier, and a 14-foot unsupported span. These problems created instability under the home, placing long-term foundation health at risk. Specialized Crawlspace Support Using SmartJacks Delivered Reliable Stabilization To address the structural risks, the team installed a series of SmartJacks targeted at the home’s most vulnerable support points. Two standalone SmartJacks were placed on either side of the first failing pier to stabilize the sagging beam. Another SmartJack was added beneath the floating beam to support the previously unsupported section, and a fourth was placed at the midpoint of the 14-foot span to reinforce the long, weakened area. While multiple drainage solutions were discussed—including sump pumps and interior drainage along the front wall—the homeowner ultimately selected the SmartJacks-only option at this time. Thanks to the unusually tall crawlspace, the installation proceeded efficiently. The team also documented that lime was spread through the crawlspace, noting that future visits should include respiratory protection. Proven Foundation Repair Methods Ensured Long-Term Peace of Mind This repair project demonstrated the importance of using engineered crawlspace solutions to protect both structural integrity and future property value. SmartJacks provided a permanent, adjustable method for stabilizing the home’s load-bearing beams, preventing further sagging or settlement. Addressing these issues early helped stop ongoing damage and reduced the risk of costlier foundation problems down the road. With structural supports now reinforced, the homeowner gained peace of mind knowing the home is safer, more stable, and better prepared for future moisture-control upgrades if they choose to move forward. Protect Your Home from Moisture and Structural Damage If you’re noticing sloping floors, moisture in the crawlspace, or signs of weakening beams, now is the time to act. Contact our team to schedule a professional crawlspace inspection and get the right solution to keep your home dry, stable, and protected for years to come.
Oxford, MS Slab Foundation Repair Stabilized a Cracked, Uneven Home on Soft Sandy Soil
A cracked slab foundation and uneven floors in this Oxford, MS home were stabilized after years of soil movement, settlement pressure, and difficult site conditions. This Oxford, MS homeowner had been dealing with serious slab foundation problems, including cracked concrete, uneven floors, and signs of settlement throughout the home. The issues were tied to challenging soil conditions around the property, including soft red sand that had been used as backfill decades earlier. Over time, that sandy soil shifted and slumped, contributing to movement beneath the slab foundation. The problem became more visible when termite-damaged wood flooring was removed and a crack through the concrete slab was uncovered. Slab Foundation Repair Plan Addressed Settlement, Soil Movement, and Structural Pressure After inspection, whole-home piering was recommended to stabilize the foundation and help protect the structure from continued settlement. The repair plan included a large number of foundation piers, porch support work, interior polyurethane where needed, and lintel repair to address cracking and structural stress. The porch area required special attention because the post on the corner was transferring pressure into the concrete slab, while the failing lintel and small cracks showed that the home needed more than a surface-level repair. HVAC coordination was also required before work could move forward, making planning and sequencing especially important. Deep Footers, Sandy Soil, Clay, and Concrete Made Proper Foundation Stabilization Essential The installation was complex because the crew encountered unusual footer depth, oversized footers, soft sandy soil in some areas, clay in others, and concrete that was more than 10 inches thick with another slab buried 1 to 2 feet below it. Some areas of the home responded differently during the lift attempt, with one side lifting between 2,000 and 3,000 PSI while the right side did not lift even at 5,000 PSI. Because of those conditions, the most important outcome was stabilization, not forcing unnecessary lift. The crew stabilized and backfilled as much of the foundation as possible, leaving the remaining areas prepared for final pushing, backfill, and concrete work. This method mattered because slab foundation repair in Oxford, MS must be based on soil behavior, structural response, and long-term stability rather than a one-size-fits-all lift. If your Oxford, MS home has cracked concrete, uneven floors, sticking doors, or signs of slab foundation settlement, schedule a professional foundation inspection with Redeemers Group to find the right repair plan before the damage gets worse.
Dirty Crawl Space Causing Issues in Brownsville, TN Home
Buena M. noticed mold was forming along side her walls. She discovered that this mold may be coming from underneath her home. She knew that the mold would not stop forming until the crawl space was dry. Buena decided to give Redeemers Group a call and we were more than happy to help resolve the issue. One of the main components of the crawl space solution included the installation of the Smart Jack System and the CleanSpace® System. This system is essential to keeping any basement or crawlspace dry. The SuperSump® pump system is specifically designed to handle the amount of water that a basement collects during heavy rains. It can pump 2220 gallons per hour at an 8-foot discharge head quietly and efficiently. Crawl Space Mold Treatment and Wood Protection in Brownsville, TN
Crawl Space Mold Growth Threatened Long-Term Structural Health Beneath the Home Charlie B. of Brownsville, Tennessee contacted our team after mold growth was discovered on the framing inside the crawl space beneath his home. While the overall condition of the floor joists and subfloor remained structurally sound, visible microbial growth on the wood framing created concerns about long-term moisture exposure and air quality beneath the home. During the inspection, the crawl space itself was found to be clean and easily accessible, allowing crews to fully evaluate the condition of the framing and identify the best approach for protecting the structure from future deterioration. Although the brick skirt surrounding the carport was showing signs of failure, the damage was determined to be unrelated to foundation settlement. LumberKote Application Protected Crawl Space Framing From Moisture and Mold Damage To address the mold concerns and preserve the structural wood beneath the home, LumberKote treatment was recommended throughout the crawl space. The installation team conducted a detailed walkthrough with the homeowner before beginning work to review the project scope and ensure all concerns were addressed. Crews then applied LumberKote thoroughly across the crawl space framing system to help protect the wood against moisture intrusion, mold growth, and future deterioration. Because the crawl space had ample working room and minimal ductwork obstruction, the application process was completed efficiently while maintaining full coverage throughout the area. A new crawl space door was also proposed to improve crawl space sealing and accessibility moving forward. Preventative Crawl Space Maintenance Helped Preserve a Structurally Sound Home One of the most important aspects of this project was addressing the crawl space conditions before serious structural damage developed. Since the floor framing and subfloor were still in good condition, preventative treatment allowed the homeowner to protect the integrity of the home without requiring major structural repairs. By treating the crawl space early, the project helped reduce the risk of worsening mold growth, moisture-related wood damage, and indoor air quality concerns in the future. After the work was completed, the crew performed a final walkthrough with Charlie to ensure the project met expectations and confirm the crawl space treatment was completed as designed. Schedule a Professional Crawl Space Inspection If your crawl space has mold growth, moisture problems, or exposed wood framing, early treatment can help prevent expensive structural repairs later. Professional crawl space solutions such as LumberKote treatment, moisture protection, and crawl space sealing can help preserve your home’s structural integrity and improve long-term performance.
Sagging Floor Repair and Crawl Space Support in Brownsville, TN
Brownsville, TN Homeowner Needed Help With Worsening Sagging Floors Lester M. and his wife had moved into their Brownsville, TN home from Colorado the previous year, and the floors were already sagging when they arrived. Over time, they noticed the sagging had continued to get worse, especially near the bathroom, hallway, and kitchen. They wanted to correct the problem before the structural issues became more severe, more disruptive, and more expensive to repair. During the inspection, the crawl space had about two feet of clearance, open access, and ductwork present, which gave the crew enough room to evaluate the floor framing and plan a crawl space structural repair. Crawl Space Beam Replacement, SmartJack Support, and Floor Stabilization Redeemers Group repaired the sagging floor system by replacing the compromised bathroom floor area and extending the repair from the main beam to the wall near the hallway. The bathroom area measured approximately 9 feet by 7 feet, but because the issue continued into the hallway, the repair area was expanded to about 12 feet by 7 feet. The crew worked around built-in bathroom components, including the vanity, tub, and toilet, and addressed the 2x8 floor framing. Additional support was installed with SmartJack crawl space support posts and supplemental beam work, including a run across the front half of the home to help stabilize and lift the sagging floor system. Why Proper Crawl Space Support Methods Mattered This repair mattered because sagging floors are often a sign of weakened beams, undersupported joists, or shifting crawl space supports. In this Brownsville home, the kitchen wall near the bathroom had shown signs of movement, including a gap at the crown molding that the homeowner had previously filled with silicone. Redeemers Group focused on stabilizing the structure, improving the dip near the main beam, and adding long-term support where an old wooden post had been used before. After installation, Lester rated every part of his experience with Redeemers Group a 10 out of 10, reflecting the importance of using proven crawl space repair methods instead of temporary fixes. Schedule Sagging Floor Repair in Brownsville, TN If your floors are sagging, sloping, bouncing, or pulling away from walls or trim, Redeemers Group can inspect your crawl space and recommend the right repair plan. Contact Redeemers Group today to schedule a crawl space inspection and sagging floor repair estimate in Brownsville, TN, or the surrounding West Tennessee area.
