Scott B. gave Redeemers Group a call to examine his home's crawl space. Our specialist noticed that the crawl space was extremely moist and dirty. This job story is a two- for- one!! After Stacey B. noticed the steel plate, which her back porch sits upon, had been settling, she decided to give Redeemers Group a call. After a thorough inspection had been completed, the inspector noticed that the front left and back corners of the house were also settling, with the concrete under the porch settling as well. Redeemers Group was more than happy to help and decided the best plan of action would be to encapsulate the dirty, moldy, basement, then complete the foundation work. The Redeemers started with a CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation. The CleanSpace® Crawl Space Encapsulation System addresses each of the main threats to a crawl space: outside air, excess moisture, water, mold, and pests. The next step was the installation of Push Piers. Push piers lift and stabilize commercial foundations to provide a permanent solution. The Push Pier System utilizes high-strength round steel tubes and a load transfer bracket (retrofit foundation repair bracket) to stabilize and/or lift sinking or settling foundations. The foundation bracket is secured against the existing footing and pier sections are driven hydraulically through the foundation bracket and into the soil below using the combined structural weight and any contributory soil load as resistance. Pier sections are continuously driven until a suitable load-bearing stratum is encountered. At that point, the structure either begins to lift or the target pressure/load is achieved. After speaking with Jed, the lead foreman on the job, I was informed that if you were to enter the interior of the house, you could physically feel the house sloping down. As you would walk across the home, you would go almost downhill, which is a very noticeable problem. The Redeemers were able to complete both aspects of the job, both the crawlspace encapsulation and the push pier installation, without a hitch!! Stacey B. can now rest easy in her home!!!

Back in August, Deric N. of Memphis, TN, called the Redeemers Group when he noticed water was seeping through the corner wall in his basement. He layered up towels on the floor until the problem just became too large for just towels to fix. Cecelia's home was on a slab foundation. Many years of water intrusion into the slab and surrounding concrete meant her house had met a terrible fate: shifted soil. The shifted soil under Celia's home caused her foundation to sink into the voids, and become unstable. What once felt like terra firma had become a a muddy mess! Cracks began to appear through the middle of her bricks and inside her walls, two dangerous signs of foundation failure! Luckily, she knew she could call Redeemers Group. Her System Design Specialist crafted her the perfect system to accomplish three things: 1) Stabilize her home, for good. 2) Level her concrete and keep it from shifting further. 3) Divert the water so it would stop causing the soil beneath her concrete and slab foundation to wash away! Redeemers Group performed the work, all without even using an excavator! Her small backyard and lovely azaleas meant we got to use extra care when stabilizing her home. Luckily, her friendly dog was there all day to keep the production crew company.Redeemers Group successfully installed push piers to stop the shifting in the affected area of the foundation, injected poly under her sunken concrete and finally, used nexus to seal the joints and cracks in her walkways. Thank goodness Cecelia called Redeemers Group :)

Lucy S. had noticed cracked foundation and doors and windows that were not closing. Lucy tried to search for solutions to this problem, but nothing seemed to work. To solve their foundation settlement issue, Redeemers Group installed slab piers and performed a lift procedure on the home. Piers can solve settlement problems by transferring a structure's weight to strong, competent supporting soils at greater depth. Piers can effectively stabilize a settling structure and can even provide jacking points to lift the structure upwards to its original, level position. Redeemers Group had the pleasure of helping Ripley City Hall with the uneven sidewalks that surround the building. Uneven sidewalks can make any building hazardous.  We installed the PolyLevel® system which uses high-density polyurethane expanding foam to raise settled concrete foundations and slabs. The state-of-the-art polymer injection is a fast-acting, affordable alternative to mudjacking and concrete slab replacement. Installers use specially-designed equipment to inject structural-grade polymer into penny-sized holes bored in the slab. After the void underneath the concrete slab is filled, the expanding foam will lift and level the slab. PolyLevel® is a quick-curing solution and the polymer is waterproof and will never wash away.
